Nach 10 Tagen Auszeit, wegen einer Infektion der Atemwege, stand Céline am vergangenen Freitag wieder auf der Bühne. Im Scotiabank Place in Ottawa präsentierte Céline ihr "Taking Chances" Konzert. Allerdings diesmal ohne "Taking Chances". Das erste Mal seit Anbeginn der "Taking Chances" WorldTour fehlte der Titelsong im Programm. Ob "Taking Chances" aus der Songlist endgültig gestrichen wurde und warum Céline den Song nicht performt hat, ist noch nicht bekannt ebenso weshalb auch das Queen Medley fehlte. Dafür kam das Publikum in Ottawa in den Genuss einer extra für sie zusammengestellten und fabelhaften Show aus englischen und französischen Songs. Nach dem phänomenalen "I Drove All Night" Intro-Video, das die größten und aufregendsten Station der bisherigen "Taking Chances" Tour durch Afrika, Asien, Australien und Europa Revue passieren liess und plötzlich bei Ottawa stehen blieb, erschien Céline inmitten der Bühne und begrüßte die Menge mit dem obligatorischen "Is That All Right, Ottawa?". Célines Stimme klang voll und reich an Emotionen und begeisterte die Menge. Die Fans im komplett ausverkauften Scotiabank Place entgegneten mit einem herzlichen "YEEEAAAAHHHHH"! Die Stimmung knisterte und Céline erzählte, dass sie sich seit Beginn der "Taking Chances" WorldTour in Süd-Afrika am meisten auf diesen Moment gefreut habe. Endlich nach Hause nach Kanada zu kommen und das spürten die Fans auch. Die Bühne aufgestellt in der Mitte der Arena ermöglichte Céline einen überraschend nahen Kontakt mit den jubelnden Fans. Der Höhepunkt des Abends war unumstritten die Performance von "Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore" ein leidenschaftliches wenn auch melancholisches Liebenslied, das nur Céline mit ihrer Stimme und ihren Emotionen Leben und Hoffnung einhauchen kann. Die Kanadier lieben Céline und Céline liebt die Kandier. Trotz Weltruhm ist sie tief im Herzen die kleine Céline aus Charlemagne geblieben. Eine von ihnen. Ein Star zum anfassen. After 10 days off due to an infection of the respiratory tract, Céline has returned last Friday on stage. In the Scotiabank Place in Ottawa Céline has presented her "Taking Chances" concert. However, this time without "Taking Chances." For the first time since the beginning of the "Taking Chances" World Tour the title song lacked in the program. Whether "Taking Chances" was finally deleted from the Songlist and why Céline not performed the song, is not yet known as well why the Queen Medley was missing. But anyway. The audience in Ottawa became a fabulous show with English and French songs. After the phenomenal "I Drove All Night" intro video, which was showing the biggest and most exciting stations of the "Taking Chances" tour so far through Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe, and suddenly stopped at Ottawa, Céline appeared on stage and welcomed the crowd with the obligatory "Is That All Right, Ottawa?". Célines voice sounded full and rich in emotion. The answer in the completely sold-out Scotiabank Place was an unequivocal "YEEEAAAAHHHHH"! Céline told since the beginning of the "Taking Chances" World Tour in South Africa she was waiting the most for this moment. Finally coming home. The stage set up in the middle of the arena allowed Céline a surprisingly close contact with the cheering fans. The highlight of the evening was the touching performance of "Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore" a passionate, melancholy but hopefully lovesong. The Canadians loved Céline and Céline loves the Canadians. Despite of international fame, Céline has remained deep in her heart the small girl from Charlemagne. A star to touch. Unreachable, but like a family member.
