Boston-Konzerte: Infos Fotos Videos

 

 

Nach einem Monat wohlverdienter Pause stand Céline jetzt am 12. und 13. August in Boston auf der Bühne und feierte die US Premiere ihrer "Taking Chances" WorldTour durch Nordamerika. Obwohl weder Kostüme, noch die Songlist verändert wurden, selbst die Reden zum Publikum waren wortwörtlich geblieben wie bereits während der Konzerte in Europa, begeisterte Céline in der komplett ausverkauften TB Banknorth Garden Konzertarena in Boston Fans und die Bostoner Presse gleichermaßen. "You can take the girl out of Vegas, but you can't take the Vegas out of the girl." Mit dieser recht provokanten Schlagzeile beginnt eine der vielen tollen Konzertrezensionen über die Konzerte in Boston und die Lobenshymnen reißen nicht ab - zurecht. Denn alle Fans, die Céline während ihres fünf-jährigen Engagement mit ihrer "A New Day..." Show in Sin City vermißt haben, kamen jetzt in den Genuss einer überwältigenden, leidenschaftlichen und dynamischen zwei Stunden Show voller Überraschungen und Emotionen. Das alles mit einem Hauch und Touch von Las Vegas. Die Bühne aufgestellt in der Mitte der Arena ermöglichte Céline einen überraschend nahen Kontakt mit den jubelnden Fans. Die Fans erlebten eine absolut spektakuläre Megashow untermalt von einem visuellen Fest der Farbe, Mode, Tanz und der Überraschungen. Überraschend waren auch die Special-Effects der "Taking Chances" Bühne, die brilliant zum Vorschein kommen, wie die eingebauten Falltüren in der Bühne, gleitende Laufbänder, hoch und runter fahrende Plateaus, die Céline's zehn-köpfige Band blitzschnell verschwinden oder mit Céline auf der Bühne feiern lassen und die ultra hochauflösenden LCD Videoleinwände, die Céline's Geischt bis in die letzten Reihen der Konzertarena trugen. In der Verbindung mit den Special-Effects kommt auch die stylische und moderne Choreographie fabelhaft zur Geltung und animiert zum mittanzen und feiern. Céline präsentierte ihren Fans in Boston eine Show der Superlative. Eine Show, auf die die Fans voller Hochspannung und Vorfreude gewartet haben und ihr Warten wurde nun schließlich belohnt. Gleich zu Beginn versetzte Céline ihre Fans ins Staunen mit dem elektrisierenden und rockigen "I Drove All Night" - inklusive neuen INTRO, das Konzerte aus Berlin, Parg und Krakau beinhaltet. Die Fans bekamen alle Songs, die sie lieben und hören wollten geboten. Keine sehnsuchtvolle Note blieb unverklungen. Auch als Céline zum Kostümwechsel die Bühne verliess, kam keine Langweile auf. Ein aufwendiges Lichtspektakel mit 250 bewegliche Lichtern, Videos und acht talentierte Tänzer sorgten für spannende Unterhaltung. Diese Details bilden den perfekten Rahmen für Céline's neue Showsensation. Auf diese Weise bekommen Céline's melodramatische Songs wie "It's All Coming Back To Me Now", das legendäre "All By Myself" oder das sanft zu Herzen gehende "Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore" die geeignete visuelle Unterstützung. Keiner schmachtet Balladen wie "Because You Loved Me" oder "I'm Your Angel" mit mehr Gefühl und Leidenschaft in der Stimme als Céline. Doch die große Überraschung des Abend war die "neue" Céline die "edgier" Céline. Als Céline die neuen Hits ihres aktuellen englischen Album "Taking Chances" präsentierte wie zum Beispiel den Latino-Mash-Up-Song "Eyes On Me" in einem lasziven Minisilberkleid, hautengen Lederhosen und einem wehenden weißen Umhang, stieg die Hitze des Abends fast schon ins unermeßliche. Céline dankte immer wieder ihren Fans in Boston. Die Stadt ist nämlich so eine Art Glücksbringer für Céline. Jede ihrer Tourneen durch Nordamerika hat in Boston begonnen und wie wir wissen, waren alle rekordverdächtig erfolgreich. Das wünschen wir Céline natürlich auch für die "Taking Chances" Tour. Wie die Céline SpeedPage in den vergangen Tagen bereits berichtet hat, wurde in Boston mit den Aufnahmen zur "Taking Chances" Live CD & DVD begonnen, die Ende des Jahres veröffentlich werden soll. Um die Fans darüber zu informieren, wurde vor Konzertbeginn diese Mitteilung ausgestrahlt. After a month break Céline has celebrated on 12th. and 13th. August in Boston the U.S. premiere of her "Taking Chances" WorldTour through North America. Although neither the costumes nor the songlist have been changed, even the speeches to the audience were literally the same as in the concerts in Europe, Céline has inspired her fans and the Boston press at the completely sold out TB Banknorth Garden concert arena, alike. "You can take the girl out of Vegas, but you can't take the Vegas out of the girl." With this headline begins one of the many great concert reviews of the concerts in Boston. "And that's good news for Céline Dion fans heading out to the second of her two shows at the TD Banknorth Garden tonight. Those who missed the lovably earnest French-Canadian chanteuse during her extended stay in Sin City can be assured the blinding glitz quotient has not dimmed a single sequin for her current tour, which kicked off last night with an energetic, two-hour, eight chest-thump performance. Situated in the center of the arena, Dion's elaborate but elegant square stage featured lit panels, conveyor belts, two side runways, and four small pits that receded and arose ferrying members of her ten-piece band. Central stages usually limit face time for each quadrant of the audience, but Dion was tireless in working the perimeter and the runways as she belted out the songs the sold-out crowd came to hear, the way they wanted to hear them with no big note left unsung. Even when she wasn't front and center, there was never a dearth of stimulation, be it her own costume changes, the intricate lighting, the video imagery, or her cadre of dancers, deployed judiciously. And she had enough flat screens to start her own sports bar. All of this pageantry of course fits Dion's theatrical way with her songs and their soaring pop style, and she didn't disappoint vocally. She came out guns blazing - or at least the adult contemporary version of guns blazing - with her hit remake of Cyndi Lauper's "I Drove All Night", scraping the ceiling with her tensile voice. The night's best moments occurred when she played to her outsized strengths, surrendering to the windswept melodrama of "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" or the overheated pathos of "All By Myself" or the gentle, heartfelt "Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore". The swaying synth anthems - including mirror images "Because You Loved Me" and "I'm Your Angel" - were pleasant but innocuous with their generic, sloganeering exhortations to cry on shoulders or stand up strong but Dion sold them with her sincerity. Pop balladeer Céline was a hit but "angry rocker" Céline, while still capable vocally, failed to generate much heat. Of the "edgier" tunes from her latest album "Taking Chances", only the patently campy, Eastern-Latino mash-up "Eyes On Me", featuring Dion swanning around in a silver-sequined minidress, leather pants, and billowing white cape, was much fun. Dion graciously thanked the audience throughout the night, and called Boston her lucky charm. She closed, of course, with her luckiest if most syrupy charm "My Heart Will Go On". It's a testament to her skill however, that even when the songs weren't strong, Dion was. Given recent trends in pop music, it's always a pleasure to be reminded that for some vocalists, auto-tune is a built-in mechanism." We wish to Céline of course a very successful tour through America and Canada.
